Bloemfontein Celtic head coach John Maduka says it's been a difficult season for the club after falling out of the top eight race on Wednesday evening.
Celtic suffered a 2-0 defeat to DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns in their final home game of the season.
Maduka had a message for the supporters after missing out on the top eight with one game left of the campaign.
"It's all about hard work, we've been working hard as a team. We try as much as we can to find the problems and find the solutions to the problems that we have in the team, it's been a very difficult season but we kept on pushing and here we are," the Celtic coach told SuperSport after the game.
"We're a team that believes in playing good football, we want to win but by also playing good football and the players that we have are the players that can be able to play, entertain people, want people to enjoy the game watching us.
"That's the identity of Bloemfontein Celtic club, maybe sometimes it's been lack of consistency where we play three games better and the other games we don't play the same but otherwise we're a team that believes in playing. We want to play good football, at the same time we want to get the results.
"To our supporters, thank you very much for the support they've been giving us throughout the season, we know they have not been coming to the stadium but wherever they are they are behind the team. We appreciate them and without them we're nothing, we hope to see them back to the stadium soon."
