Samuel Eto'o Sends Message To Ronaldinho In Prison

With FC Barcelona legend Ronaldinho celebrating his 40th birthday in prison, his former teammate Samuel Eto'o sent the Brazilian a heartfelt message, hinting that he might help to free him.

Ronaldinho is currently in a Paraguayan jail after being caught entering the country with a fake passport.

However, authorities are investigating whether the 2002 FIFA World Cup winner and his brother were, in fact, involved in a money-laundering scheme, with the duo having to remain in prison throughout the investigation, which could take up to six months.

Ronaldinho therefore had to spend his 40th birthday, which took place on Saturday, behind bars, and Eto'o had a message for him, saying that if there is anything he could do to help, he will do it.

"Hello brother, I have no words, brother. I don't even know what to say, we are talking to see how we can encourage you," he said via a video on Instagram.

"You are my brother, my friend. I can't imagine what you're going through. I can only ask you to have strength and to pray a lot.

"I hope that all this can be solved soon, because you were, frankly, a good person and a good friend. From here, the black loves you very much and you can count on me for everything you need.

"What I can do, I will do. And if I can't do it, I'll ask a friend for the favour."

Ronaldinho was reportedly denied bail and house arrest, with other reports suggesting that Lionel Messi would try to help free him.

However, the Argentine's representatives have since denied this, but it seems that Eto'o could now attempt to help get Ronaldinho out of jail.
