Reports: FC Barcelona Superstar Offered Two Huge Deals In China
An FC Barcelona superstar has reportedly been offered two massive deals from clubs in the Chinese Super League – here is the latest on the player's future.
According to AS, veteran midfielder Andres Iniesta has received two offers from the Far East, with one of those contracts said to be worth €35 million (R477 million).
That figure is said to be the amount he would take home after tax, while it is also believed that he could be excused from playing away games.
The report, however, also claimed that Iniesta has rejected these offers, despite his current deal at Barca expiring in 2018.
The club and player are said to be in talks over a new contract in Spain, although an agreement was not reached after the Blaugrana's initial offer was tabled.
Iniesta is represented by former Barca player Carles Puyol and business partner Ramon Sostres, who were reportedly unhappy with the club's first proposal.
The midfielder, who turns 33 years old in May, has played 26 games this season, but only 15 of those appearances have come in La Liga.
