'This English Star Is Worth More Than Paul Pogba'
Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp believes an English star in the Premier League is worth more than Manchester United's Paul Pogba.
The French midfielder was bought for a world record fee of £89.3 million (R1.4 billion) from Juventus at the beginning of the season but has had his fair of critics since, and Redknapp feels England international and Spurs star Dele Alli should now fetch a higher price than the one paid for Pogba.
"I think now (Alli) is worth £100 million," he told the Daily Telegraph.
"If Pogba's £90 million, he's more. He's 20 years of age! The kid's got everything -- he scores goals, makes goals, can head it, run, dribble, got an edge to him, puts his foot in. I think he's fantastic."
The former Queens Park Rangers manager also criticised the Red Devils for missing out on Alli back in 2005, after the club saw him close-up in the League Cup.
"Didn't he play against Manchester United when they beat them that day (a 4-0 win for MK Dons over United in the second round of the League Cup)?" he added.
"You wonder how they didn't take the kid from MK Dons for £5 million."
The midfielder has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Spurs so far this season, six more than Pogba has.
