Reports: Manchester United Eye David De Gea Replacement
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on a certain goalkeeper should David de Gea leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Star, manager Jose Mourinho will target Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak should the Spaniard leave in the next transfer window.
The Red Devils are desperate to keep De Gea at the Theatre of Dreams, but know they will have a fight on their hands as long-time admirers Real Madrid, who almost signed the keeper in 2015, remain heavily interested in the player, who is also said to have a lifelong dream of playing for Los Blancos.
It is believed that United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is willing to sell the goalkeeper, but only if Real are willing to pay £60 million (R1 billion) for the goalkeeper.
Mourinho is already making sure he has a few options on the table should he lose his No. 1, and Oblak is said to be his first choice right now.
Stoke City's Jack Butland has also been linked as a possible alternative for the English giants.
