Sundowns, who are at the summit of the PSL log, will be at Cape Town's Athlone Stadium tonight for their match against Cape Town City, while Pirates will be at home in Orlando against Bloemfontein Celtic.
"Predicting the winner of the PSL title at this stage of the season is going to be very tricky, but it's going to be between Pirates and Sundowns," Mothibantwa told the Siya crew.
Sundowns drew 0-0 with Celtic in their match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on the weekend, while Pirates beat Golden Arrows 1-0 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

According to Mothibantwa, Downs coach Pitso Mosimane will have a proper plan to keep his team at the top of the log for the remaining matches of the season and to defend the league title.
"If I were to choose one team right now I would go for Sundowns. Sundowns have a lot of depth in their team and you know Pitso has the experience in terms of winning the league. Furthermore, he has got a very good technical team with Manqoba (Mngqithi) and the other guys with him there. You must remember that even Rhulani (Mokwena) at Pirates is one of the guys groomed by him (Mosimane) and that's how experienced the guy is. I would go for Sundowns," added the former central midfielder.
