Mokotjo Arrives, Bafana Wait On Dolly
Bafana's Clash With Angola Will Be Played In East London
As expected, Kamohelo Mokotjo has reported for camp with Bafana Bafana, despite doubt over his eligibility for the team.
The South African national team jetted out from Johannesburg to Durban today ahead of their clash with Guinea-Bissau on Saturday afternoon, with the two sides set to go head-to-head at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Bafana’s locally based players arrived for camp yesterday evening – as did Mokotjo and Thulani Serero – while the likes of Andile Jali and Kermit Erasmus landed in South Africa this morning before flying to Durban with the team.
Mokotjo’s situation is still up in the air at present as he waits for confirmation on whether he will be able to feature for South Africa this week or not, however, the South African Football Association seem confident of his availability.
Meanwhile, Keagan Dolly will meet up with the team in KwaZulu Natal as he arrives late from France.
It has been confirmed that the game against Angola will take place at Buffalo City Stadium on Tuesday, with the encounter set to get underway at 19h00.
Before that though, Bafana face Guinea-Bissau at 15h00 on Saturday afternoon, with interim head coach, Owen da Gama, sitting on the bench while SAFA continue their search for Shakes Mashaba’s successor.
